Chris Chorak

Chris
Chorak is the founder of Presidio Sport & Medicine, an active
lifestyle and wellness clinic that specializes in more than
just physical therapy.
Drawing from more than 15 years of physical therapy and athletic
training experience, Chorak founded Presidio Sport & Medicine
in 1997 with the mission of treating the patient holistically.
Her goal is to take each patient beyond recovery and return
them to optimal physical and mental health. Prior to starting
PSM, Chorak worked with such organizations as Advantage Fitness,
Ultrahealth and ProActive Fitness.
Chorak is noted for her active involvement in the community.
She co-created The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team-In-Training
Triathlon program and provides free injury consultation to
programs such as TNT and AIDS Marathon. She has been found
volunteering at the Hawaii Ironman Medical Tent for years.
Chorak is also a regular lecturer on topics such as injury
prevention, race-day nutrition, the importance of core strength,
and the biomechanics of swimming, cycling and running.
As an endurance athlete, aquatic running specialist and former
triathlete, Chorak has completed over 100 triathlons and open
water swims, including the prestigious Ironman and Escape
from Alcatraz races. Chorak is a recent mother of twin boys,
and finds balancing work, family and her own well-being a
very rewarding challenge. Chorak graduated from Northwestern
School of Medicine in 1988 with a degree in Physical Therapy
and earned her undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from
Purdue University. She is a member of the American Physical
Therapy Association and holds a physical therapy license from
the state of California.
